Autumn Term 2025
This Term’s Theme: Around the World in Eighty Days
This term, our learning journey has taken us on an exciting adventure across the globe! The children have loved exploring different countries and discovering fascinating aspects of their cultures.
We began by learning about national flags and enjoyed painting them. Food has been a big highlight—everyone had the chance to make and taste delicious treats such as croissants from France, tasty tortillas from Mexico, and sweet delights for Diwali celebrations.
Our travels also introduced us to some of the world’s most iconic landmarks. From the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower to the Statue of Liberty, the children recreated these famous structures using small-world equipment, showing creativity and teamwork.
Animals were another focus, as we studied the incredible wildlife found in the countries we visited. To deepen our cultural understanding, we joined in celebrations such as Diwali, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), and Thanksgiving, learning about their traditions and significance.
Alongside our classroom adventures, we’ve been busy with outdoor experiences too! Weekly activities at Bryn Bach have included caving, go-karting, bushcraft, and mini golf. We also had an amazing time climbing at Llangorse Climbing Centre, where the children challenged themselves and built confidence climbing high walls.
It’s been a term full of exploration, creativity, and fun!
